XTERRA South Central Championship - Waco

The XTERRA South Central Championship is headed quite literally to the Heart of Texas, as Waco sits smack dab in the middle of the state. The race itself is in Cameron Park, a vast 416-acre municipal playground that is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

•Pros race for a $10,500 pro purse
•Age groupers battle for slots to the World Championship (see chart below)
•Top amateur finishers earn points toward their standings in the XTERRA America Tour
Highlighting the XTERRA weekend in Waco are a ton of activities that everyone will enjoy. Kids have their own adventures at XTERRA Kids Zone, where fun and friendly competition rule the day. XTERRA is also offering a 5/10km trail run as well as a more challenging 21km Xduro trail run race on Saturay the day before the main event. And Paul Mitchell presents FREE XTERRA University clinics hosted by the sport's top pros. XTERRA Gear Destination will be on-site to provide the best in racing, training and casual apparel. Plus the XTERRA Sport race (half-distance off-road triathlon) offers competitors their choice of racing a shorter distance but equally fun off-road multisport adventure. Doing the "sport" distance . . . . will be working my way up to the 2 Austin area XTERRAs in August.
